             The Victorian Era spanned the years from 1837 to 1901, the years that Queen Victoria was the British monarch.  This time period was one of incredible change in Great Britain and the United States.  Vast cultural, social, and technological changes occurred.  The Industrial Revolution brought prosperity and urbanization to the United States.  Beautiful furniture of every description was manufactured that graced the homes of rich and famous during this period. 

                        This Victorian Parlor chair is made of walnut and it is in exceptional condition. Extremely clean with no defects to really talk about. The chair is solid with no movement whatsoever and extremely sturdy. The upholstery has been recently replaced with 100 % cotton muslin fabric ready for the new owner to apply a needle point, velvet, tapestry, or silk fabric.. New jute webbing has been applied, the springs have been retied eight ways, new high density foam rubber has been applied to the seat the back.  The chair sits on 4 original wooden caster wheels. The height of the chair is 40" and the seat is 23" wide.  This is one of the nicest chairs I have seen in a long time from this time period.  It would make a great addition to any home and a wonderful investment as well.
